towards Carbon Neutrality

We are convinced that change is for the well-being of all. This is why we have started the process of change that will allow us to offset the CO2 emissions produced in a calendar year.

What is carbon neutrality
It is the result of the balance between generated emissions and reabsorbed emissions.

What is the carbon footprint
It is the carbon footprint, it represents an estimate of CO2 emissions released into the atmosphere.

How we offset emissions
We have chosen to support a reforestation project that captures greenhouse gases by producing oxygen and improving the well-being of local communities.

The project began with the quantification of direct and indirect emissions of tons of CO2 equivalent, following the GHG Protocol and the GRI guidelines. We then pledged to offset our emissions through United Nations Recognized Crabon Credits (UNFCCC), which fund a reforestation project.

To generate a carbon credit, 17 trees need to be worked for one year. We have chosen to invest in the reforestation project of the Fazenda Nascente do Luar in Brazil, where 428,375 eucalyptus trees have already been planted, the tree species that most of all absorb CO2 from the atmosphere (in that area). Furthermore, the work of the Fazenda contributes to the protection of the local fauna and improves the quality of life of the community.
